The best missional tool we have

Talking Jesus 2022 found the following…

- 24% of practising Christians said that reading the Bible for themselves was a key influence in their coming to faith – this was the second strongest influence

- This rises to 38% of practicing Christians who came to faith when they were aged 18-24 and was the biggest influence reported for bringing this age group to faith

- 19% of practising Christians, who came to faith above the age of 18 (as adults), said reading the bible was one of the key influences in their journey to faith

What is fascinating is that this was the same age group we surveyed in 2016 with the Talking Jesus Youth research, they are growing in openness and desire to discover God. How much more open are the young people we are working with now?

Many people are still generously housing / hosting Ukrainian refugees. We have been working in partnership with Biblica and others to develop a Ukrainian version of our popular Mark’s Gospel. This is now ready for you to buy here in the UK for refugees where you live for this season!

Copies have been going all over Europe and in Ukraine too, helping people discover Jesus. Maybe there is a young person in your community who could do with one of these?

Christmas is coming

Christmas is a key part of the gospel story and is an experience of the gospel. We have the opportunity to make the most of it in our youth groups with events and moments to respond to the gospel. But also a brilliant opportunity in schools to let them know it's not all trees and tinsel!

Christmas comes early in schools and as is a major Christian festival covered in the RE curriculum, giving the church many opportunities to reach pupils in lessons, assemblies, lunch clubs, and much more.

Schools' ministry is not just for a select few. Every church can serve and reach its local school at Christmas. 99% of young people DO attend school and 95% of young people DON’T attend church.
